
Organizational Support Services (OSS) is one of California's largest incentive, event and promotional program management firms, servicing large corporations such as Sprint, Xerox, Sunkist, Albertson's supermarket, Warner Brother's Home Video and The Gas Company to name a few. With a staff with over 100 years of combined experience, OSS prides themselves on delivering ultimate customer service without sacrificing results.
In the summer of 2006, OSS embarked on a three year long Energy StarTM incentive program with the big California electric company, Southern California Edison. The goal: to run events across the state where Edison's customers could exchange their energy inefficient lighting fixtures for energy efficient ones for free. These ambitious events continue to draw thousands of people each weekend and totaling 70,000 exchanges to date and counting.
For OSS, the need to streamline the process was clear. Everything in-between the moment a customer shows up to their local event to when they walk away with their new appliances needed to be automated, tracked and analyzed. ThinkLogic designed a scalable mobile ecosystem that allowed OSS to do just that. Integrating all different technologies from desktop applications running on laptops, magstripes, printers, wireless internet cards to webservices, ThinkLogic took care of the worries such as complicated business rules and redundancy and allows OSS to do what they do best.
Supporting a flexible application that runs in a mobile network was only part of the solution. Careful attention was paid in the design phase to adhere to Southern California Edison's electricity savings formulas. It doesn't end with just collecting data so ThinkLogic provided OSS a secure administrative section to manage their inventory and run vital metrics that leads to the success of each event.
