Step 4: Develop

With 10 years of Internet application and business development experience, ThinkLogic has inherited unique development standards. Our knowledge of both business-to-business and business-to-consumer companies in varying industries has helped us to articulate core development philosophies. It’s these philosophies that ensure we continue to deliver world-class software applications for our clients.

When you work with ThinkLogic to develop your Web-based application, you can expect the benefits of these principles:
  • Define, Prioritize, Agree then Develop. Before development begins we clearly define and document all aspects of the software, including expectations of both our client and ThinkLogic. We adhere to the following pre-development guidelines:
    1. Don’t over document. While it’s important to have a vision for long-term development plans, countless hours should not be spent on designing plans that are months away from development. These resources are better focused on achieving the goals of the current project.
    2. A picture is worth a thousand words. Illustrations, flow charts, screen mockups and other visuals ensure that ThinkLogic and our clients have the same understanding. We don’t make assumptions or leave details open to individual interpretation.
    3. Prioritize and omit. Complete high-priority items first and begin generating revenue before investing in lower priority features.
  • Develop Just Enough to Make Money. At ThinkLogic, our biggest advice to our clients is “don’t overdevelop.” We help our clients determine what elements of the application are essential to generating revenue and which elements are deferrable.
  • Be Rigid but Flexible (i.e. realistic). Throughout the development process, we remain flexible to accommodate unexpected refinements and adjustments. All functionality, even when thoroughly planned and documented, is subject to revisions during the roll out phase. We make sure that time is allocated to eliminate development delays.
  • Test With Real-Life Examples. When your software goes live, it has to be ready for customer use. ThinkLogic’s testing begins in development by getting input from actual users early in the process. We rely on this input throughout development to deliver a solid application.
